NXP is a global semi-conductor company with operations in 25 countries worldwide. It was formally a division of Philips Semi-Conductors and was successfully re-named and re-branded in 2006.
The Challenge… NXP asked Ignition to design and build a bespoke commercial interior at their head quarters in England, they required a design focused on an education and meeting facility to underline and consolidate their new identity, to present their products and ethos to staff and visitors. An important element in the design was to provide an area for staff to socialise within the company creating a positive workplace.
The Result… Ignition turned an overlooked, disused area into a bright, engaging space that is both informative and welcoming to the NXP brand. Curved feature walls reflect the NXP ‘wave’ from the new identity. The wave cleverly guides the eye around the subtly lit product displays, colourful graphics and audio visual zones within the space. The new facility is a beautifully functional bespoke commercial interior balancing the need to educate and inform while providing a welcoming social retreat.
