The marketing and communications team at CA Cheuvreux asked Ignition to deliver a corporate event design which transformed a 5 star London hotel room into a funky New York café bar to be used as a breakout room for their delegates between seminars.
The brief was succinct “we wish to provide delegates with comfort, a view of central park and lots of candies”. And that’s exactly what we did, using mock brick walls, funky furniture and jewel colours Ignition created an upmarket urban quirky café that was the perfect place for delegates to kick back and relax. This seriously good looking space was counterpointed with humorous, offbeat props – a modern take on doilies, designer china milk cartons and the enticement of old school sweets.
The only reminder of the room’s former use was the ceiling, out went the marble boardroom table, up went new walls, down went new floors. Everything had to be carried through the hotel and extreme care and diplomacy was needed to ensure that there was minimal disruption to hotel guests.
The response of delegates to this exuberant room was overwhelmingly positive and Ignition was invited to design and manage the whole Cheuvreux corporate event design and forum in 2012.
