Having completed a successful stand for 2007's show the brief challenged Ignition to deliver again with a creative, striking design.
The principal focus of the custom exhibition stand design was on colour and texture, with an introduction to the new products; AR+ Plain Colours, the extended solid surfacing range, Sculpted by Formica® and the extended Formica ColorCore® range. There was also be a focus on the promotion of Special Artwork for the exhibition design.
An important exhibition design feature that was incorporated into last years stand was to bring awareness to the misunderstood brand. Formica needs to be displayed as an exciting and diverse product that can be used in a multitude of applications.
The theme 'Focus on Formica' asked visitors to the exhibition to look in more detail at Formica and the products, directing their attention to the design of the textures, colours and quality of the products represented to the customer.
The exhibition design concept focused on the experience of the visitor, playing with the customers curiosity and perceptions of the designs and products.
Subtle messages and forms on the outside of the exhibition stand worked to intrigue visitors but were subtle in their white application. Access from the exhibition hall isles were interrupted by 4m high perimeter walls. Once across the perimeter the exhibition stand opened up in a wash of colour, form and texture.
The magnified textures used on the outside were continued throughout the custom exhibition stand design, to full impact in bright colour and intimidating in their presence and size.
This custom exhibition design for Formica is one that Ignition are particularly proud of.
